Interview Schedule

The Serengeti District Council has confirmed two interview sessions. Both sessions will take place at the Serengeti District Council Headquarters.

All shortlisted candidates must attend both sessions. Make sure you arrive on time.


How to Check if Your Name Is on the List

The Serengeti District Council has published a full list of shortlisted candidates. To confirm your status, download the official PDF attached to this post below.

However, if your name does not appear on the list, do not panic. Instead, log in to your Ajira Portal account and check the reason why you were not called. This will help you prepare better for future opportunities.


Important Requirements for All Candidates

Before attending the interview, you must read and follow all the instructions below carefully. Furthermore, failure to meet any of these requirements may lead to disqualification. Therefore, prepare everything in advance.

1. Wear a Face Mask

Every candidate must arrive at the interview venue wearing a face mask. This requirement is mandatory and applies to everyone without exception.

2. Carry a Valid Identification Document

You must bring a valid ID for verification. Additionally, make sure the ID is original and not expired. Accepted identification documents include:

  • National Resident ID Card
  • Voter’s ID Card
  • Work ID Card
  • Citizenship Certificate
  • Passport
  • Driving Licence
  • An official letter of identification from your local government or village authority

3. Bring All Your Original Certificates

You must bring all original academic and professional certificates. These include your birth certificate, Form IV certificate, Form VI certificate, vocational training certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas, and degrees. Moreover, bring any other qualifications relevant to the position you applied for.

4. Testimonials and Result Slips Will NOT Be Accepted

This point is extremely important. The following documents will not be accepted under any circumstances:

  • Testimonials
  • Provisional results
  • Statement of results
  • Form IV result slips
  • Form VI result slips

Only original certificates will be accepted. Therefore, do not attend the interview without them. Candidates who present these documents will not be allowed to proceed.

5. Professional Registration Certificates

Some positions require registration with a professional board. If your position falls under this category, you must bring your original registration certificate and valid practising licence.

6. Candidates Who Studied Outside Tanzania

If you studied outside Tanzania, your certificates must be verified and recognised by the relevant authority. These authorities include TCU, NACTVET, or NECTA. Additionally, if your position requires a GPA, you must provide a GPA conversion certificate from TCU.

7. Dress Code

All candidates must dress professionally and decently. Smart and presentable attire is expected throughout the interview process. Make sure your clothing follows the official dress code circular.

8. Personal Expenses

Every candidate is responsible for their own transport, meals, and accommodation. The Serengeti District Council will not cover any travel or living expenses. Therefore, plan and budget for your trip in advance.

9. Name Discrepancies in Your Documents

If your name appears differently across your documents, you must address this before attending. Specifically, you need to bring a Deed Poll certificate registered with the Ministry of Lands to clarify the name change.

10. Confirm Your Interview Number

Before attending, log in to your Ajira Portal account and copy your interview number. Furthermore, candidates who will complete a screening interview online must remember their Ajira Portal email address and password.

The Serengeti District Council strongly reminds all applicants that bribery is strictly prohibited. Giving or receiving any form of bribe in connection with employment or job placement is illegal. Moreover, the recruitment process is based entirely on fairness, equality, and transparency. Candidates found engaging in corrupt practices will be disqualified. In addition, they may face serious legal consequences.
