Job Overview
NBC Bank is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Relationship Manager to join their Agribusiness team at Head Office. This is a full-time position ideal for a banking professional with a strong background in agricultural financing and business development.
The successful candidate will be responsible for growing NBC’s agribusiness loan portfolio by attracting new clients, assessing credit applications, and developing strategies that support Tanzania’s agricultural sector.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Relationship Manager for Agribusiness, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Business Growth You will identify and develop new commercial opportunities in the agribusiness sector. This includes working closely with clients, government institutions, and financial partners to protect and grow the bank’s interests. You will also collaborate with branch teams and head office departments to deliver approved agribusiness deals and maintain an up-to-date understanding of Tanzania’s agriculture sector, farmer needs, and value chain financing.
Product Development You will work alongside the Product Development team to create and refine agribusiness products. This includes maintaining a product catalogue, reviewing monthly product performance reports, and advising on competitive pricing strategies to ensure NBC remains relevant in the market.
Risk Management You will monitor agribusiness loan performance on a monthly basis and work with branch teams to address any delinquent cases promptly. You will also ensure full compliance with agribusiness guidelines and respond to all internal and external audit queries professionally.
Who Should Apply
NBC Bank is looking for a candidate who meets the following requirements:
Education A first degree or equivalent qualification in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, or a related field.
Experience A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in agricultural financing. The ideal candidate should have solid knowledge of agribusiness value chain financing models and experience in deal structuring and negotiation.
Skills The right candidate should demonstrate strong selling and negotiation skills, excellent business analysis ability, effective stakeholder management, entrepreneurial thinking, leadership qualities, and the ability to adapt to a constantly changing business environment.
